Amanda Aparicio

 

         Amanda began her discovery of singing at a very young age. At just 4 years old, he was already singing songs with his musician uncles and his grandfather, who was a saxophonist and conductor of the Military Police band.

        With a family full of musicians, he grew up in an environment that fostered his love for music. At the age of 8, he began his studies at the Lyceum of Arts Claudio Santoro in the most important Children's Choir in his hometown. In this choir, he had the opportunity to sing in some operas on the stage of the Teatro Amazonas such as Carmem and Pagliacci, and also Magdalena by Heitor Villa Lobos, it was at this moment that he fell in love with lyrical singing.

              His studies in singing and experiences in the area continued in the following years, joining several choirs and taking group singing classes, under the guidance of teacher and conductor Natália Sakouro. Later, he entered the Federal University of Amazonas to pursue a degree in music, where he began to experience a different environment than the classical one. During this period, she was a monitor of the UFAM University Choir under the direction and supervision of maestro Bruno Nascimento. 

           Parallel to this, he began to spend time with popular music and Jazz musicians, thus initiating important special projects for this musical scene. He was a member of the Curumim Jazz group and the Pé de Moleka samba group, in addition to participating in popular music festivals in his state, such as FECANI and the Amazonas Popular Music Festival. He also participated in several important events such as the Amazonas Film Festival with national and international artists. 

            Still in the popular sphere, she received an invitation from the then president of the Samba School Reino Unido da Liberdade Jairo Beira-mar, to be a vocal trainer for the musical and female vocal wing of the samba school. Performing at carnivals from 2012 to 2015. 

      In 2012, he met the French soprano Isabelle Sabrié and decided to return to the operatic singing environment, where he began studying a bachelor's degree in operatic singing at the State University of Amazonas. He had the opportunity to perform in several concerts with the university's symphony orchestra, and participated in contemporary classical music projects directed by his teacher, Isabelle Sabrié.

       In the following years, she decided to take her studies in operatic singing more seriously and also began working as a singing teacher. She worked as a singing teacher at Casa Cultura e Fé, singing teacher at the Choir of the Young Citizen Project (winning that same year the award for best music teacher at the Young Citizen Project) in parallel to these activities, she worked as a scholarship holder and subject monitor. of choral singing at the State University of Amazonas, conducted and supervised by maestro Adroaldo Cauduro.

         In 2013, at the invitation of the then president of the Manaus City Council Bosco Saraiva, she created the Manaus City Council Choir, thus becoming its founder, artistic director and conductor. 

           In 2014, he began studying opera singing with the renowned Brazilian tenor Juremir Vieira, who had just arrived in Manaus. Being his frequent student from 2014 to 2019.

          In 2014, through a public competition, he obtained first place in the competition for soprano soloist of the Orquestra de Violões do Amazonas, conducted by maestro Davi Nunes, where he performed regularly at the Teatro Amazonas, also touring northern states through the Música na Estrada project. .

       In 2015, at the invitation of Glomam's Secretary of Culture Dr. Márcio Silva, she created the Glomam Foundation Children's Choir - Grand Masonic Lodge of Amazonas, thus becoming its founder, artistic director and conductor. 

     That same year, at the age of 23, he participated in his first competition outside the state, competing with 110 competitors from all over Brazil and Latin America, he was among the 15 young singing talents that year, being a semi-finalist in the Maria Lyric Singing competition.            In 2017, he won first place in the Canto da Floresta Competition, a lyrical singing competition that took place in Amazonas, receiving the prize in a beautiful ceremony on the stage of the Amazonas theater.

In 2018, through a public competition, he won first place for the vacancy of choral soprano at the Coral do Amazonas, conducted by maestro Otávio Simões, thus taking the place in the highly competitive public competition. She is currently sub-monitor of the soprano section of this choir.

        That same year, she participated in the Prelúdio Competition, a classical music competition on TV Cultura in the state of São Paulo, winning the first round, and placing in the ranking of the 24 great classical music talents of the year 2018. She was also invited to be the protagonist of opera Acis and Galatea at the Amazonas Opera Festival.

        From 2019 to 2021, I decided to further my studies in the United States, studying at the University of Kentucky. His singing teacher was the renowned North American soprano Cynthia Lawrence (Luciano Pavarotti's soprano) with whom he achieved a great leap in learning and also solidified lessons already passed on by his last two teachers. 

       She was a member of the University of Kentucky Women’s Choir, conducted by conductor Lory Hetzel, participating in tours in the state of Tennessee and performing several concerts in the city of Lexington, Kentucky. He was a scholarship holder and member of the Centenary Church Choir, where he also performed as a soloist in concerts and chamber music formations under the direction of maestro Scott Heersche.

        In 2020, he began a tour with the "Colla Voce Ensemble” in the United States in the state of Ohio. Performing a repertoire focused on training trombone, soprano and piano with the artistic direction of North American musician Bradley Kerns.

       In 2022, in partnership with the record label Azul music, he released his first musical album, also in partnership with composer Hugo Pinheiro, entitled: "Pocket Poetry” with songs written by Hugo Pinheiro and all new songs in 3 languages many different.

     That same year, at the invitation of Dr. Clara Lima, he began the vocal preparation work of the Amazonas State Attorney General's Choir, made up of state employees and attorneys. With presentations that are aimed at the institution. This choir participates in ceremonies that take place at Teatro Amazonas and in cultural spaces in the city of Manaus.

      She is currently dedicating herself to working as the mother of her first child with musician Hugo Pinheiro, little João Hugo.
